The Stripes Look

Hello everyone!
I am back after a mini vacation!  And in the future, I will be
posting a recipe that I recently tried that I LOVE.  I finally had
a decent camera to take pictures!  Yay! :)
More on that to come later.

 While relaxing and obsessively cleaning
I did manage to find time to go on Pinterest to find some cute looks with
stripes!  I have been digging this look lately!
Something about the stripes that can add so much to your style.

Here are some of my favorite looks
(and by some, I really do mean some... so many to try one day! :) ).

From floral combos to a simple golden necklace,
the stripes look is good for all seasons!

Hope you are having a great day!

It's Friday!!

Hello everybody and welcome to the best day of the week!
We have made it through yet another week in 2014,
which is over half way done with already.  C'est bizarre! ;)

I had a great week and I hope yours was splendid as well!
Here are some things I found this week that I am loving!

1.  26 Halloween Costumes For Toddlers
As the rest of the title implies, they are just too cute to believe!

I mean seriously, how adorable is this baby?!?!?!?!
Found here

2.  The Bun and the Braid
Enough said, the perfect look for fall like shown here
or for those hot, muggy days of summer!

3.  Need a Quick Workout?
I can't even begin to tell you how great this is!
You don't have to leave your house to do this!

4.  Yummy Grilled Potato Salad

Oh my deliciousness.  Red potatoes are one of my favorite potatoes to grill.
Recipe found here.

HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEKEND!  Going away to visit
my man.
I miss Evan so much and am beyond excited and blessed to spend this
week with him!
And I get to meet his uncle for the first time, which is going to be awesome.

Talk to you soon!

Great Reads

One of my favorite things to do in life (besides shoe shopping and eating bacon)
is to read.  I have had so much time now that my summer class is over to catch
up on some books that were collecting dust on my shelf!

Over that course of time, I have read several books that I am highly recommending!
Thinking about making a page that has a list of books that I have read and
what I am currently reading.  What do you think?

This is about two people who are brought together after a tragic accident.
I don't want to say so much because it is so good!!  Giffin
is a terrific author who is clever and genuine.

A business woman with her own clothing store, she is a bit on the curvy size
compared to the average woman.  After an abusive relationship, she is through
with boys.  But there is a certain hottie that can't keep his eyes off of her!
So, do they get together?  Find out!
Jamison is a hilarious author who keeps you flipping the pages!

Gemma is a middle-aged woman living in NYC and cooks for people.
As you can tell from the cover, when in doubt, she clearly states how
important the butter is.  A funny read that details her adventures of love, life
and friendship.

I am going to leave you with this for now.  More books suggestions to come!

And a few more links just for fun!

How adorable is this baby?!?!

I love painting during my free time and this tutorial looks like something fun to try!

Need a new backpack for school?  Check out these Vera Bradley backpacks!
Seriously love her stuff.  Fantastic quality and so cute!

These earrings from Kate Spade are gorgeous!
Sigh.  Wish I could afford them!

But more importantly, I want that baby! ;)

Hope you have a great night!

NAKED by Urban Decay

Ladies, lets face it: if we could own everything found in Sephora or Nordstrom,
we would be some of the happiest people on the planet, am I right?!
I know I would be!

Honestly if somebody gave me $10,000 that money is going toward my
wardrobe and makeup.  No questions asked.

I have been dying to try this NAKED makeup as I have heard tons of
great reviews on it!

Sigh.  How I would love for all of these eyeshadow palettes to be in
my beauty collection.

In the meantime, however, Sephora has their ownline of eyeshadow I own
that I wear every single day.
This is the Moonshadow Baked Palette and has pretty much every color you
need and more!
If you are looking for the right eyeshadow, I recommend the above
and right now it is on sale online at Sephora for $15!!
Can't beat a great bargain!

Hope you have a fantastic night and happy shopping!

Wedding Centerpieces

Lately, I have been fantasizing about my wedding.  With that
has come many late nights of watching a million episodes of
Say Yes to the Dress! ;)
And OK, I am a hopeless romantic and LOVE weddings.
So. Stinking. Much.

However, I think it is also a lot of fun to decorate for the reception!
Centerpieces are a perfect way to add some glamour to the reception!
Whether it be a warm glow of candles or a gorgeous arrangement
of flowers, centerpieces are the perfect way to add more to that special day!

Here are some of my favorites!

I think the last one might be my favorite!  Look at all of those candles!
I am such a candle addict it's horrible.  I'm always bummed when I go
back to school that we can't have candles on campus! :(

Whether the centerpiece is simple or extraordinaire,
they are a beautiful way to add to your reception.
Some of these are easy DIY projects that are tons of fun to do,
especially if you are on a tight budget!

Hope you have a wonderful day! :)
Happy hump day! :)

Colored Jeans

Perhaps one of my favorite styles is wearing colored jeans.
They just add so much to an outfit and are so much
fun to wear!!

Today, I thought I would share some of my favorite styles. :)

I'm dying, I wish I had all of these in my wardrobe!
But I must be cautious of my spending as I am still just
a poor college student.

But one day though! :)

Anyways, enough of my complaining.  These outfits would be great for work
going out with friends, or just because you felt like dressing up a bit!
Colored jeans are the perfect way to add a pop of color
to your outfit!

Hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

It's A Bit Chilly Today

Yes, for a summer day in the middle of July,
I find myself wearing jeans and a sweatshirt.
Why?!?!?!

I thought this was suppose to be summer!
But at least it's not so nice out while I am stuck in
my house while I study for my Genetics final! ;)

Because of how chilly I am today, I thought it would
be appropriate to share some fall looks I am loving! :)

Makes me want to find my leather boots and put them on again! ;)

Anyways, the end of Genetics is approaching and I will have a bit of a break
before the semester starts up again in the fall!  Yay!! :)
Here's to keeping the motivation going!

Although, I have to admit, I am quite the nerd and have LOVED
taking Genetics! :)

Hope you had a wonderful day!
