School Is In Session!

And oh my stars has it really taken off!
I'm in biochem this semester, which is a graduate
level course and I think we have gone through more material
than what I have ever needed to know for the first exam.

It has been really interesting and I love learning,
but I am struggling to find a balance of taking time for
myself again.

I will hopefully be posting more since this is something
that I love to do.
I love sharing all of the cool things I love and hope to inspire
all of you!

A huge thank you to my readers for being so patient with me!

Hope you have a fabulous day! :)

Favorite Fashion Finds

My stars, has it been too long or what?!?!
I am so sorry that this has taken forever!
I am all moved in to my new apartment and ready to start my third
year of college (already...).

WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?!?!?!
Le sigh.

But I can't wait to start yet another exciting year! :)
Anyways, back to the main point.
Here are some of my favorite finds in the wonderful world
of style that I just had to share:

1.  The Fall Layers

With an adorable red skirt and cheetah loafers.  Perfect.

2.  The Classic Skirt and Stripe Look

I love how she has a bun for her hair style to complement this timeless look.
Such a fun and classy look.  A must have for any woman!

 3.  Vest and Gingham

I personally need to get my act together and purchase a couple of gingham shirts!
How cute is this pattern!?!?!
Such a great look for the upcoming fall season!

4.  Stripes on Stripes

I just love the light stripe pattern of the skirt paired with the striped shirt.
It doesn't look like there are too many stripes going on here.

 5.  The Blazer Look
Such a classy piece of clothing to add to any outfit.
I am currently obsessed with stripes so this just may be one
of my favorite outfits!! :)

Happy Labor Day weekend!

DIY Ombre Candles

Hello there everybody!

So I have been watching my Yankee candles slowly burn down
and now there is not a whole lot left of them (sad day!).
But thanks to Pinterest, I found a website here that will cure my
soon to be lack of candles in my bedroom.

Looks super easy, they have great instructions on what to do.
Plus, these would make great gifts for anyone who loves candles and
can be given for any occasion: birthday, Christmas, etc...

Super cute, right?!?!

And a few more links for fun!

This is a good read for anyone who is thinking about getting married.

I'm curious to try this new scent from COACH.

A very cute and stylish Tory Burch bag from Nordstrom

Hope you have a wonderful day! :)

Favorite Fashion Finds

Hello there!

I just got a pair of leather boots in the mail for the fall and I am so excited!
So, I have found some cute looks to pair with leather boots!

So cute, I wish fall was here already!
Although it has been warm and enjoyable,
there really is nothing like putting on a warm sweater
and getting comfy under a cozy blanket with a hot cup of tea. :)

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your Wednesday!

Food for Thought

Lately, I have been thinking about this a lot.

I think that many people can easily get caught up in the stress of daily life,
but it is SO important to take a moment and reflect on your life and realize
just how blessed you are.

I am so blessed for good health, a loving family, and a wonderful man in my life
who I am so lucky to call my best friend.

While I do have my days where life seems absolutely ridiculous,
I can't help it but realize that there is so much more good than bad.

What are you thankful for in your life?

Have a wonderful Monday!

Chicken with Avocado and Mozzarella Cheese

Hello there!
As promised, I would share some of my photos from one night of making dinner,
so here it is!
Let me just say that it was mucho deliciouso. ;)

Avocados are great on almost everything and are really healthy for you.
Plus, cheese goes good with anything, so therefore it just added more to the chicken.

Aww, my baby is just too excited to eat!! :)
Heehee he is such a cutie! :)

Here is what you will need:

2 Chicken Breast Fillets, halved lengthways
1/2 Cup Plain Flour
2 Tablespoons Fresh Milk
2 Eggs
1 1/2 Cups Dried Breadcrumbs (we used a lot more than this)
(we used whole wheat breadcrumbs and it was delicious!!)
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil/Cooking Spray
1/2 Cup Tomato Pasta Sauce
Avocado, Sliced
1/2 Cup Grated Mozzarella Cheese

This can be paired with a salad or whatever side you love to have with chicken.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.  Wrap chicken in plastic wrap and pound thin (until about 1/4 " thick) or thin chicken with a rolling pin.
  2. Whisk milk and eggs together.  Put flour and breadcrumbs on two separate plates.
  3. Put chicken in flour first and shake off any excess.  Place chicken in egg mixture making sure entire chicken is covered.  Let excess drip off.
  4. Place chicken in breadcrumbs, being sure to put on enough to cover entire chicken (I would even put extra on to make it extra crunchy).
  5. In a 9"X 13" baking dish, lay down a piece of tin foil to cover the entire bottom of your baking dish.  Place chicken on the foil.  Drizzle olive oil on chicken.
  6. Bake for four minutes on each side, being sure it is four minutes for each side for an even golden touch to the chicken. Remove chicken from oven.
  7. Add tomato pasta sauce, avocados, and cheese to the chicken.  Bake for another 5-7 minutes (we did about ten minutes total after we put on the avocados and stuff just to be on the safe side).
  8. Enjoy your yummy chicken! :)

Looks great, doesn't it!  This has been a family favorite for years!
Hope you have a great day!
