Watching the Time

I am on the lookout for a fashionable watch.
One of my favorite brands is Kate Spade
and I could not help but fall in love with all of these:

I don't know which one to choose...
Can I just have them all? ;)

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Stuffed Pasta Shells with Spinach and Ricotta Cheese

I love food.  So much.  There is nothing more satisfying than to have a
fantastic meal at the end of the day.
From bacon to burgers to pasta, you name it, I will probably eat it.

I especially love to experiment in the kitchen and
whip up something delicious.
One of the things I recently made is these stuffed pasta shells!
Mouth watering, right?
Be sure to add lots of cheese, cause cheese
makes everything taste better! ;)

Here is the recipe.

I made this a long time ago, so I don't have my images to put up,
so I linked you back to the website. :)
So delicious!! Will be a hit and people will want you to make this again!

Hope you have a wonderful night!

Creative Crafts

I have been so inspired by Pinterest (I swear I'm never getting
off that site, EVER) to bring out my creative side.
Whether I can create something to add décor to a room or to make a cozy, fuzzy scarf
I think that it is tons of fun to do something crafty.
Here are some cool ideas I found:
Got some paint?  Then grab your paint brushes and some tape
and paint away!

A brilliant way to stay organized with this calendar!

This just takes me back to the day of water colors in elementary school.
Good times.

Sorry that this image has to be so small, this is being a pain in the rear,
but if you know of a coffee addict or you are one, then this is
the perfect accessory for you!
Simple to make, yet super cute and useful!
Hope you are having a great day!! :)
Take care,

Looks to Love

So I have been out of it for a while...
Finals are over and I have been enjoying a nice long
winter break!!
It was a pretty tough semester so it has been nice to be completely lazy and not
have a worry in the world! :)
With that, I bring to you some looks that I have been drooling over!
Turtle neck and sweater.  Too cute!

I don't know what it is about the mustard color,
but I love it!
Perhaps it adds a little bit of sunshine?

I love the plaid look here!

Bubble necklace, skinny jeans, and flats.  Check. :)

I also got this North Face coat and these warm fuzzy mittens for
my birthday this month!
Woohoo thanks Mom! :)

And on another note, Vanilla Bean Noel from Bath and Body Works is my favorite scent ever.
I smell like sugar cookies every time I put this stuff on!
It's heaven. <3
If you want to try it, you have to get it right when their holiday collection is offered.
Also, go during their semi-annual sale after Christmas!
You can get a tube of lotion for like, three bucks!!  That's a steal
for this divine holiday collection!!

More posts to come, I promise!  I will try my hardest to do a better job with
posting stuff! :)

Have a wonderful night!

Christmas Cards

When I see the mail man come around this time of year,
I get really excited to see the Christmas cards that people send me.
I think that a card is so simple, yet one of the sweetest things to receive from people
we care for dearly.

So with that, I came across some really cute card ideas on Pinterest that
I really want to try!  :)

I love the little presents!

I will be doing this with my future little ones!  This is just adorable!!

Get your creative side out this Christmas!  :)

Have a spectacular day!

Christmas Gift Ideas

I consider myself to be a last minute shopper when it comes to gifts for
my friends and family.
I have a really hard time picking out things for people, especially since some people
I know are extremely picky!
So I have sometimes found myself at a dead end in ideas.

But after doing some more searching, I have come up with some ideas I thought were great!
For the girly girl, you can't go wrong with Essie nail polish!

This is my man's favorite candy!  Take a toothpick and carve out messages in them!
Too cute! :)

A hot cocoa mix is a sweet and simple idea for anyone!
Put some fun treats inside to top of their cocoa!

For the hard-working woman in your life!
Treat her right with a foot massage and a manicure!

So whether you do these ideas or something else,
like candles, books, movies, music, or puzzles,
there is nothing like giving something that means so much to
someone you care about.

Happy shopping! :)

Here are some more links for fun!
These candles would be great to have around the house (I mean, who
doesn't like Yankee)?
Bundle up  in this cozy North Face jacket!
And this chili recipe looks delicious!  I will have to try this soon
since my baby loves jalapenos! :)

And here is some food for thought! :)

Relaxation: One of Life's Necessities

So one of the biggest things I have learned thus far in my academic career as an undergraduate student is that it is SO important to take care of yourself by taking time to relax.
Now, I'm a Biology and Microbiology major that pretty much had the attitude of "ain't nobody got time for that!"
Perhaps this might sound familiar to y'all?!

Through all of these tough times, I have realized just how important it is to relax.  It doesn't make me a bad student.  In fact, I think it makes me a better student to be able to study with a clearer head!

Cause lets face it: if you had to read a book like this all day and didn't take a break, you would probably go crazy too!

Thus I bring wise advice to you: how to relax!
  1.  Exercise- proven to cause a release of endorphins in your body, which helps your body to relieve its own physical stress!
  2. Candles-  I don't know what it is about candles, but the sweet scents and the little fire that gently glows while it burns has really helped me to calm my nerves.
  3. Pinterest-  may be a no brainer, but seriously getting all of these ideas on what to cook or how do turn an everyday ponytail into a gorgeous hairstyle is super fun and addicting.  And helps to relieve stress!  If you do not have a Pinterest, get one!!!  So much fun!
  4. Deep breaths- get some more oxygen to your brain and slow down your mind in the process!  All of those annoying thoughts that are running through your head at a million miles an hour will start to slow down and then you realize that things aren't so bad after all! :)
  5. Coffee- or any sort of comforting hot beverage.  Help yourself to get relaxed and cozy by drinking something that is warm and toasty!
  6. Do something crafty- I really like to knit.  Knitting really helps me to focus in on something else and ease my nerves.
  7. Scream into a pillow- just try it.  It really works! ;)
  8.  Write down anxieties and positive thoughts- this may be the most important tool I have had thus far.  Putting all of those thoughts onto paper allows you to sort through those thoughts a lot easier.  Highly recommend this!
  9. Music- whatever your favorite tune is, crank it up in the car or on your iPod.  Music has been proven to also cause a release of endorphins.  Plus, music is so much fun to listen to anyways. :)
  10. Think positive- telling yourself that you will get through the rough patches in life will really help you get through these hard times.  While this may seem obvious, it really can be easy to lose sight of it.  I know I most certainly have!
Hope this helps when you need to relax!
