This weekend so far has been absolutely fantastic!
I decided yesterday to put down the textbooks and devote some time
to myself. I had been working so hard the past week that I felt that
I was going to go crazy if I didn't take some time to relax!
But today I will be hitting the books hard as I prepare for the last few exams
I have left before finals!!
So scary how the time has flown by...
Anyways, I have had some time now to do some shopping
on the internet and really catch up on some cool ideas out there
that I really want to try!
From DIY projects to plaid outfit ideas, there are so many
great things to get excited about!!
Here are some of my favorites:
1. The 20 of the Best Hair Tips You Will Ever Need.
And I mean seriously I would have NEVER thought of half
of these. A must read to help maintain those luscious locks of yours!
2. The Best Glazed Mixed Berry Scones
EVER. Now, my man doesn't really care for scones in general,
most of the time it's because they are really dry and crumbly.
Honestly, this is why I don't like buying scones in a Starbucks drive-thru
or most places in general. They can't get it right!!
This recipe though will change your life.
The boyfriend even said that these were the best scones he had ever
eaten period. That is saying A LOT since he is the pickiest eater I know!!
One of the key ingredients as she will explain is sour cream, to which at first I
thought that was a little bit weird, but as I was making them, I quickly realized
that sour cream is the key to making soft and scrumptious scones!!
You know I even forgot to put in baking powder and they still turned out
perfectly fine. Crazy in my opinion, but I'm not complaining if I can
get a great scone out of the recipe!! :)
3. Fall Fashion In General
This is by far my favorite season to dress!
I love getting cozy in a big sweater or wearing a chunky scarf
with mittens!!
These looks are just so heavenly and classy!
I want them all!!!! :)
4. Need a Dinner Idea?
Then check out these 30 soup recipes from
Gosh does she have so many great ideas!!
We made the creamy potato soup last night for dinner
and it was dynamite!!
Plus there was bacon in it and you can never go wrong with that! ;)
5. Art Journals as a Therapy!
I have only very recently gotten into keeping an art journal
but I read a study that shows how much of a healing power
doodling can be to relieve stress from a traumatic experience.
Being able to have that creative outlet and really see a beautiful result
of something you made or drew is truly inspiring.
I found this on Pinterest and am hoping to soon start this!
A great quote to keep in mind, plus this is something fun to do!
Just simply wonderful. :)
Hope you have a great rest of your weekend!!
